the goal:

Draw a conclusion about the Law of Conservation of Mass.


Materials and tools:

Wire crucible - Test tube - Balloon - Sensitive scale - Heater - Hot water bath - Test tube holder - Stopwatch - Tissues


Steps:


1. Place a piece of wire crucible in a medium-sized test tube.

2. Attach the balloon nozzle to the tube nozzle.

3. Determine the mass of the tube with its contents.

4. Heat the tube in a hot water bath using the test tube holder for two minutes.

5. Allow the tube to cool completely.

6. Determine its mass with contents again after drying its outer surface.


Note:

The wire appears different.


Conclusion:

The mass of the copper wire before and after heating is equal.
