the goal:

To discover how the water content in plants affects their weight.


Materials and tools:

Balance scale - Apples - Stopwatch - Strawberries - Oranges


Steps:

1. Weigh some slices of apple using the balance scale.

2. Place the apple slices on a plate and let them dry completely, then weigh them again.

3. Calculate the difference between the two masses.

4. Repeat the steps using other fruits.


Note:

The weight of the apple will differ before and after drying.


Conclusion:

The difference in mass indicates that the apple contains water, and when it evaporates, the weight of the apple decreases.
