An Experience Model of Voltage and Electric Current

the goal:


Designing a Model for Electric Current Flow in a Simple Electrical Circuit


Materials and tools:


Plastic funnel - Plastic tubes of different diameters - Metric ruler - Stand with clamp - Stopwatch - Two glass cups


Steps:


1. Place the glass cup under the ring stand and secure the plastic tube in the stand, then place the funnel inside the tube.


2. Pour water into the funnel and measure the time it takes for the water to flow through the tube into the cup.


3. Repeat the previous steps while changing the diameter and height of the tube, and observe the time it takes for the water to flow through the tubes into the cup.


Note:


We observe a difference in the time it takes for the water to flow based on the change in the diameter and height of the tube.


Conclusion:


The intensity of electric current flow is analogous to the flow of water in the experiment, and it depends on the voltage difference and electrical resistances.
