An Experience What is the speed of a glass ball?

the goal:


Testing the time it takes for a glass ball to roll down a slope and determining whether the height of the slope affects the motion of the glass ball.


Materials and tools:


Books - Wooden or cardboard surface - Glass ball - Stopwatch.


Steps:


1- Place one book under the wooden board, then place the glass ball at the beginning of the wooden board's path.


2- Click on the ball release button and note the time taken.


3- Add another book or set of books to change the slope of the incline and repeat releasing the ball on it again and note the time taken for the ball to reach the end of the wooden board.


Note:


We notice that the time decreases as the slope height increases when using more books.


Conclusion:


We can conclude that as the slope height increases, the speed of objects traveling on it also increases.
