Research by the United Nations Global Climate Change Authority showed that there has been a continuous rise in the temperature of the atmospheric air near the surface of the earth, in what is known as the global warming phenomenon.Research has shown that the cause of global warming is the process of global warming. An experiment to learn about global warming:Tools: 2 empty carbonated water bottles, 2 percentage thermometers, sodium bicarbonate powder, vinegar, water.Work steps:Put an amount of water in the first bottle, and an equal amount of vinegar in the other bottle.Put a thermometer in each bottle.Put the sodium bicarbonate powder in the second bottle and close it well with the cap.Place the wedding nails in a sunny place for 10 minutes.Note:Carbon dioxide bubbles rise as a result of the reaction of sodium bicarbonate with vinegar. The temperature in the second bottle is higher than in the first. Conclusion: The high percentage of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere of the second bottle, the increase in the temperature inside it, and in the same manner when the rates of greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere rise, the Earth's temperature (global warming phenomenon). The most important greenhouse gases that play a role in global warming:Carbon dioxide gas.- CFCs.Methane gas.Nitrous oxide.-Water vapor.Causes of global warming:Cutting and burning forests.Combustion of fossil fuels (coal - petroleum - natural gas)Interpretation of global warming:When the levels of greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere rise, it plays a similar role to the role of glass in a greenhouse.- When the sun's rays fall, the Earth's atmosphere allows the passage of visible light rays and rays of short wavelengths emanating from the sun.The ground and its bodies absorb these rays and then re-radiate them in the form of an infrared ray.- When the percentage of greenhouse gases in the troposphere rises, the infrared rays cannot penetrate from the earth's atmosphere due to its large wavelength, and thus the infrared rays are trapped in the troposphere causing the temperature of the planet to rise, in what is known as the greenhouse effect. The negative effects of global warming:The rise in the temperature of the planet, which will lead to the melting of the poles, which may lead to the disappearance of some coastal cities, and the extinction of some polar animals.Severe climatic changes: such as the frequent occurrence of tropical cyclones, droughts, and forest fires.Solutions to get rid of global warming:Stop wars and military industries.- Rationalizing the consumption of non-renewable energy sources and expanding the use of renewable energy.Reducing the use of individual transportation and the use of public transportation.Expanding electric cars and encouraging their purchase.Reducing the phenomenon of urban sprawl at the expense of agricultural lands.Attention to expanding the cultivation of trees and increasing the agricultural area.
