Investigating flow velocity in different fluids.
Small balls - set of different fluids - graduated cylinder.
1- Fill the graduated cylinder with water
2- Drop a small glass ball into the graduated cylinder
3- Using a stopwatch, measure the average time it takes for the ball to reach the bottom
4- Repeat the previous steps with different fluids and observe the falling time
We observe a difference in the falling speed of each ball depending on the fluid it is in.
Since the resistance to flow of oil is greater than water, the time it takes for the ball to move in oil is greater than the time it takes for the ball to move in water.
