To explain how to make soap at home.
Water sample 1 - Water sample 2 - Distilled water - Dropper - 3 test tubes with stoppers - Coloring pencil - Dishwashing liquid - Test tube rack.
1- Take a quantity of distilled water and place it in test tube D, repeat the step with water sample 1 and 2.
2- Add a drop of dishwashing liquid to the three tubes.
3- Using the coloring pencil, mark the height of the water in each tube.
4- Use the stoppers to seal the three tubes.
5- Shake each tube for a period of time, then measure the height of the foam in each tube.
We observe a difference in the amount of foam formed in the three tubes.
We conclude that it is possible to distinguish between hard water and soft water by mixing it with a cleaning solution.
